About Sarah Goethe-Jones

Sarah Goethe-Jones is a professional ballroom instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Albany, NY. She began training as a ballet dancer at the age of 7, eventually expanding to tap, modern, jazz, Irish step dance, and ballroom dance. She became a professional ballet dancer with Albany Berkshire Ballet in Albany, NY and Pittsfield, MA at age 17, performing numerous roles and solos, as well as touring with their company. She attended Boston Ballets Summer Dance Program at age 18, and was also accepted to the Radio City Rockettes Summer Dance Program. She was a class assistant, helping to teach all levels of dance, and then went on to become a dance teacher in her early 20s where she taught adults and children in ballet, modern, jazz, and Irish step for Albany Berkshire Ballet as well as through workshops at local school districts.

Sarah is also a burlesque dancer, performing under the stage name "Lady Grey," having trained under burlesque icon Legs Malone. 

She attended Parsons New School of Design in New York City where she earned a degree in Fashion Marketing. Additionally she is a milliner and costume designer with a diverse background working in theatre, film, fashion styling, and museums.

Located in the Albany, NY area, she is an Anglophile, lover of strong tea, and a cat mom to two rambunctious half-Siamese kitties.
